LEARNING GOAL FOR TODAY: I will finalize my proposal for my GPS Teaching Project during today's class
WORDS O' THE DAY:
- Navigation: ("controlling the movement of a plane from one place to another")
- Dead Reckoning ("Navigation where you head in one direction at a particular speed for a certain length of time and hope you end up where you want to")
- VFR - Visual Flight Rules - The first certification a pilot earns. VFR pilots can only fly in fair weather and ONLY during the day
- IFR - Instrument Flight Rules - The second certification a pilot earns. IFR pilots can fly at night and in poor weather (using instruments!!!)
- VOR - ("Working with radials") {It stands for VHF Omnidirectional Range... but you don't need to know that}

We'll also talk about the teaching format
For today:
Finalize your TFAD proposal
- Provide a one or two sentence description of your topic (be specific) within the field of GPS
- Suggest 1 - 3 "Words of the Day" to make sure your students understand those (those can change as you work on your actual lesson plan)
Provide a full paragraph description of your teaching technique
Now please begin work on your actual lesson plan.
I recomend that you use my lesson plan format since your classmates are familiar with that.
